The cloudy sulfur hot spring bath makes your skin smooth and the effect seems to continue till next morning.There are other hot springs in the women-only zone such as "Anti-aging" bath and "Fertility" bath.

Ryoma Sakamoto, the legendary loyalists in the last days of the Tokugawa shogunate,and his wife Ryo were said to be going a honeymoon for the first time in Japan.
To heal the wounds owed by the "Teradaya" incident, they dropped-by Tatewaki Komatsu and visited Kirishima.
The sulfur valley hot spring seem to have been one of the hot waters they soaked.
